General

The incredible French ski resort of Les Deux Alps. Home of Europe's largest skiable glacier.

Check in, depending on the apartment is usually around 3-5pm.

We do however encourage you to get whatever flight is cheapest from your nearest airport. We will have luggage storage and a welcome party from midday on the 9th December so it really doesn't matter when you arrive!

In terms of check out, most apartments are very early from 8am requiring check out. So we do advise booking a flight and transfer for as early as you can on the Saturday 16th December as the last thing you want after a week in the snow is to wait around!

You may then log in and pay any amount each month. Some people choose to log in each month and pay an amount from their balance, others pay everything upfront. It’s completely up to you.

You are able to log in at any time to your Easol account at myeasol.com and pay parts of your balance off whenever suits you /your group. On the homepage of your Easol account you will see any booking that still has a “Pending Payment”, meaning a balance is still due on this. Click the yellow “Pay Balance” icon on the top right to view and check the details. You can opt to pay the full balance or a part of it. You can only pay off one booking reference per transaction, so it may be the case that if you have several booking references you will need to pay them separately.

All payments need to be made ASAP. Please note it is not an automatic transaction, you must log in and make the payment.

Accommodations

Your package has already been booked and secured accommodation (which is a Rise Alpine apartment). Rise Alpine apartments are super  basic self catering apartments, located in walking distance to the lifts, stages and bars! If you wanted to upgrade to any of the accommodations listed on the website thats no problem you would just need to pay the remaining difference and contact hello@risefestival.com with your request.

Please keep an eye on our social media channels for any accommodation availability updates. Customers who have secured a booking with us will be given priority to upgrade accommodation.

Rise Alpine apartments are a selection of hand picked apartments from various buildings in the resort in the centre. They aren’t one exact location as they are in various buildings across the resort. Saying this, they are all located primely within walking distance of the slopes, bars and stages.

Within 3 weeks of the Festival you will be notified of the name of the building you have been allocated to. If you have friends who have booked under a different name do let us know and we will make an effort to ensure the apartments are near each other.

Fro more information have a look at the product page here: https://www.rise-festival.com/products/rise-alpine-apartments

Ski & Board

The lift pass is active from the Sunday 10th Dec in the morning until the last lifts on the Friday 15th Dec. You can collect this on Saturday 10th, so you are ready to go for the first lifts on Sunday! If you want a lift pass outside of these times we recommend buying it once you are in resort just for the day.

Ski and Snowboard equipment hire is available now! There are also upgrade options for 'Premium' and 'Elite' Equipment hire to choose to help improve your ski/board performance with a better standard of equipment.

3. Intermediate Refresher Afternoon 2 Hours - An afternoon guided by an instructor to ensure you feel confident for the rest of the week.

Pick up your hire on the afternoon of the 9th Dec, ready for the first lift on Sunday morning! Return your hire by Friday 15th.

The hire equipment waiver is sold through a third party called Pre Fit. They are the best in the business for negotiating claims with shops and ensuring if you do need to make a claim, it is as fair as possible. The excess for the equipment is: standard hire: £200 and premium is £230. Poles are not included. Full Terms are in our Ts and Cs!

Travel & Arrival

We would advise booking flights ASAP

We would recommend looking on SkyScanner to find the best priced flights for you.

Les 2 Alpes is served by multiple budget airlines flying into three main airports. Grenoble, Lyon & Geneva. We recommend flying into our closest airport Grenoble (GNB) for the quickest transfer time of around 2 hours. Geneva can be up to 3.5 hours transfer time and usually only private transfers are bookable which can be expensive.

Yes! There is plenty of parking in the resort too. We recommend pre booking parking and also carefully checking the route and weather conditions before travelling. The mountains can be dangerous, make sure your car is well equipped with snow chains and emergency kit. You can find extensive advice on this on websites such as the RAC.

Under the Brexit deal, from Jan 2021, UK passport holders do not need a visa to travel to EU countries for less than 90 days. You will still use your UK passport as normal to travel from the UK through French border control whether it be via plane, coach, train or car! If you are concerned, check the Government website for the most up to date information.

There are plenty of options when it comes to booking transfers. Many companies have not released schedules yet so keep checking back! Here is some of our top picks:

Bens bus

Bens Bus service Lyon and Grenoble airport directly to the resort of Rise, Les Deux Alps, with 3 drop off/ pick up points to choose from in the town. They will run frequently on the 10th and 17th of Dec for the major UK flights incoming or outgoing .

Check out Bens Bus page for prices and more info:

If you are only a small group, we recommend posting in the Rise Festival “Buddy Finder” page to find others who may be on the same flight as you and therefore be able to share the cost!

White Rides

The friendly guys at White Rides are able to cater to your transfer needs from Geneva and Chambéry on either a bespoke group basis or they will be able to group you will other Rise goers around the same time for the cheapest prices on a shared transfer. They offer on a first come first serve basis, so get in quick!

Email them directly on Shak@whiterides.co.uk quoting “Rise” in the title to get a quote and exclusive pricing.
